Ajay Launches His Next Production

Actor Ajay Devgan, who made his directorial debut this year with U Me Aur Hum, is all set to launch his next project. But this time, Devgan will stay away from direction and concentrate on the acting. It is believed that Rohit Shetty will step into the hot seat for this one.

Devgan has managed to rope in Sanjay Dutt and Fardeen Khan as well for the movie, which is expected to be an action comedy, supposedly has a plot which has been inspired by the late Hrishikesh Mukherjees films. The flavour of the comedy will not be slapstick but more mature in nature. It seems that the films script was ready for quite a while. When Shetty narrated it to Devgan, the actor loved it and wanted to produce it. Sanju too liked the script and was signed on. The last time that Sanju and Devgan worked together was in Mehbooba. As for Devgan and Shetty, they go back many years. Shetty was one of assistants in Devgans first film, Phool Aur Kaante. Shetty and Devgan have collaborated quite successfully in Golmaal Returns, one of the big hits of this year. Incidentally, Devgan will be seen next in Kireet Khuranas Toonpur Ka Superhero along with wife Kajol. Devgan also has films like Prakash Jhas Rajniti and Vipul Shahs London Dreams on hand. He is also doing a film with Priyadarshan, a comedy, which will be produced by Kumar Mangat.
