original hunk, actor Salman Khan rings in his 43rd birthday today.
Tempermental and mercurial by nature, he is the a true Bollywood
star, who functions according to his whims and fancies, not caring
if his director is a Subhash Ghai or a David Dhawan.
Salman remains one of the most eligible bachelors in Btown. His
list of failed relationships is legendary by now. Currently, the
actor is said to be involved with Katrina Kaif, but there is trouble
in that relationship as well. Salman is a paradox of sorts. If on
the one the one hand, he is a great friend and promoter of talent,
a man who does a lot of charity, he is also known to abide by his
dislikes forever. A case in point is Vivek Oberoi. Despite the latter
apologising to him and trying to make amends, Salman continues to
ignore him and his overtures. Then, there is his recent fracas with
the other Khan, Shah Rukh. No one really knows the cause of their
fight, but it is believed to have created fracture lines in Bollywood,
with people aligning themselves with either one or the other. Clearly,
a man who doesnt forget or forgive easily, Salman has always done
his own thing and is not likely to change for anyone or anything.
Professionally, this has not been the best of years for Salman,
with films like God Tussi Great Ho and Yuvvraaj flopping. He has
not able to replicate the success of last years Partner. But he
has a lot to look forward to in 2009, when his film, London Dreams,
directed by Vipul Shah, and costarring Ajay Devgan and Asin will
release. There is also the film Veer directed by Anil Sharma, based
on a script which he is believed to have written. The future looks
good for this hunk, who has now taken to painting in dead earnest.
It just adds to the contradictions galore which make up Salman Khan,
